This chapter explains the names and terminology used in the Smart LEDZ Fit system. For terms that are also used in general contexts, the explanations are tailored to the Smart LEDZ Fit system.
Mesh network
A communication network formed in a mesh pattern by wireless modules communicating with each other. Even if a wireless module in a mesh network fails, a communication route is secured through another wireless module, minimizing the impact on the network itself.
Device
A general term for equipment with wireless communication functions that make up the mesh network, such as wireless modules, Gateways, sensors, and remote controllers.
Wireless module
A module for transmitting and receiving wireless radio waves for control. It is built into lighting fixtures, sensors, and remote controllers.
Gateway
This device manages time on a mesh network, enables Wi-Fi connectivity from tablets and smartphones, and allows for the backup and restoration of configuration data.
Its role differs from that of the gateway in conventional Smart LEDZ systems.
Group
A collection of one or more lighting fixtures or sensors. Allows for collective or individual dimming and color tuning.
Scene
A predefined setting where dimming rates are assigned to groups, allowing them to be changed collectively via the app, schedules, or remote controllers.
Schedule
function that executes specific scenes for designated groups during specific time periods on certain days or weekly.
