FAQ

■ About construction

Please tell me more about the 25-meter radius that provides a clear line of sight.

Line of sight means that each unit has a clear line of sight to the unit it is communicating with.
The line of sight will be shorter if there are obstacles such as walls, pillars, or insulation.
Please thoroughly check the installation environment before installation.

There are other 2.4GHz devices at the installation location. Is communication possible?

If there are other devices using the same frequency band (2.4GHz), communication problems may occur due to radio interference. Smart LEDZ Fit minimizes interference by searching for available channels using a mesh network. Depending on the installation location, communication may not be possible, so we recommend a wired dimming type fixture.

We previously installed the conventional Smart LEDZ system. Can we use it as the same system?

Smart LEDZ Fit has different specifications from the conventional Smart LEDZ. It cannot be controlled using the same controller. Please install and configure it as a separate system.

We plan to implement the same system in the adjacent store. Are there any problems with that?

If you perform the setup process simultaneously, it will detect the lighting fixtures of adjacent stores. Please stagger the setup times.

We may turn off the power to some of the lights during operation. Is this causing any problems?

If you turn off the lights, mesh network communication may not reach devices located further away. If you know in advance the range in which you will turn off the lights, we recommend installing a 24-hour power supply device to relay communication within that range.

Is it possible to control the color temperature of the lighting in conjunction with an illuminance sensor?

It is not possible to control the color temperature of the lighting in conjunction with the illuminance sensor.

We may make some changes to the settings. Is there any problem?

To change settings, ensure all devices in the system are powered on.
Setting changes require communication with the relevant device. If all devices are not powered on, communication may not reach the device, potentially preventing successful setting changes.
For the Scene Selector Handy Remote, please change settings for each remote individually.

Is it okay to configure the settings on multiple devices?

Please use only one device to perform the settings. Using multiple devices for settings may lead to incorrect settings or malfunctions.

<Caution>
Even if you use the same mesh ID and password, please absolutely do not do the following:
– Perform device discovery (device reading) simultaneously on multiple terminals.
– Perform device discovery on terminal A for part of the way, and then continue the device discovery on terminal B.

Is it okay to operate from multiple devices?

While it is possible to share backup data across multiple devices and perform operations on them, the most recent operations will take precedence. Please note that changes made on other devices may not be reflected.

What does the “Acquisition Failed” icon that appears during proximity scanning mean?

The device status retrieval is not yet complete. Tapping the “Retrieve Status” button will initiate the status retrieval process. Once the status retrieval is complete, the device will display the correct icon.

The device status is shown as offline on the group editing screen. What does this mean?

The communication with the device is unstable. Group registration cannot be completed successfully in this state. Please approach the offline device, confirm that the button has changed to ON/OFF, and then register it.

I want to save backup data to my PC, but the backup data isn’t showing up. Please tell me how to fix this.

Please create a copy of the designated backup data on the operating terminal. Creating a copy may allow you to view it on your PC as well.

■ About dimming

Please tell me the dimming rate of LED lighting fixtures.

The dimming rate of LED lighting fixtures varies depending on the model, so please check the specifications diagram.

Can the phase dimming unit be connected to phase dimming fixtures from other manufacturers?

It is not possible to connect phase dimming devices from other companies. Please use ENDO’s dedicated phase dimming devices.

Please tell me the number of phase dimming fixtures that can be connected to the phase dimming unit.

The phase dimming fixtures that can be connected to the phase dimming unit vary depending on the model, so please check the specifications diagram.

What is the dimming rate when an LED lighting fixture is turned off and then on again?

When you turn an LED lighting fixture off and then on again, the dimming level will return to the level it was at when you turned it off. However, if you turned it off at 0-4%, it will return to 5%.

■ About each device

Can the wall-mounted remote control for the scene selector show which scene is currently running?

When you select a scene and press the button, a red LED will light up, and the lighting fixtures will illuminate according to the selected scene, allowing you to confirm the change.

How many days does the gateway retain its time after being powered off?

The time will be retained for 2 days. If the time is incorrect, the controller will adjust the time.

What can I do with the application once the controller and gateway are connected via Wi-Fi?

Gateway settings, backups to the gateway, and restores are possible.

Can the controller install other apps?

Please do not install any other apps.

What should I do if I forget my settings passcode?

If you forget your settings passcode, your only option is to uninstall and reinstall the app. This will erase all your settings. Therefore, please be sure to create a backup to prepare for such a situation.

The controller’s battery life has become shorter. Can it be replaced?

The battery is not replaceable. If the battery life becomes short, you can use a portable power bank. Do not use any AC adapter other than the one specified.

Does the controller require an internet connection?

It’s not necessary. The controller can be used without an internet connection.

Is it possible to update the controller’s application?

We do not support updates via the internet. If you wish to update, please contact us. Contact Us

Is it possible to add or replace lighting fixtures?

Yes, it is possible. If you are adding or replacing lighting fixtures in an existing group, you will need to reset the scenes and schedules associated with that group.
