Wi-Fi connection
The connection between the gateway panel (initial settings completed) and the Wi-Fi router has been lost, and I want to reconnect it. Or, I want to change the Wi-Fi router to connect to.

I connected the gateway to my Wi-Fi router, but I can’t connect to the Internet.
- Is the Wi-Fi router connected to the Internet? Check if you can search the Internet using a smartphone or other device.
- Restart the Wi-Fi router and connect to Wi-Fi again.
I want to connect my smartphone directly to a gateway switch (initial settings already configured), but I don’t know the SSID or Wi-Fi password.
- About the SSID: You can check it from the “Gateway SSID” that appears when you tap the Wi-Fi icon (fan icon) in the upper right corner of the gateway switch screen.
- Regarding the Wi-Fi password: If you have not changed it since the initial setup, it is “12345678.” If you have changed it and cannot remember it, you will need to reset the system and set it again.link

The gateway does not appear on the smartphone’s Wi-Fi settings screen.
- If the gateway is connected to a Wi-Fi router, you cannot directly connect the gateway to your smartphone. To connect directly, disconnect from the Wi-Fi router in the Base’s “Wi-Fi Network” menu.link
- If the above does not work, turn off the Wi-Fi router and wait about 30 seconds. Then you will be able to connect directly.
- If the problem persists, press and hold the ON button on the bottom right of the gateway for 8 seconds to restart it. (Data will not be erased.)
The Wi-Fi router I want to connect to does not appear on the “Wi-Fi Network” screen
Make sure your Wi-Fi router supports “IEEE802.11 b, g, n.”
Does the gateway always need a Wi-Fi router?
A permanent connection is not required in the following cases:
- The smartphone and gateway can be connected directly (not via a Wi-Fi router).
- No need to synchronize with internet time (adjust whenever it is out of sync)
- Don’t use a smart speaker
- Do not back up/restore configuration data to the cloud
Does the Wi-Fi router need to be dedicated to the Base (Endo Lighting)?
There is no need to set up a dedicated Wi-Fi router for the Base.
Smartphones and apps
Can I use the Base app to remotely control my lights over the internet?

Can I set up a different system (gateway) using just one smartphone?

Can one gateway be controlled by multiple smartphones?
Yes, you can. However, if you connect the gateway and smartphones directly, you can only connect up to 8 devices.

Log in
I can’t log in even though I entered the correct system ID and password.
- Please check again to make sure you have entered the correct ID and password. Please be especially careful as it is easy to confuse “1” with “l” with “I” and “O” with “0”. If you have not made any mistakes, please take the following steps.
- Please delete the Base app, re-download it, and then try logging in again.
- If you are connecting via a Wi-Fi router, the device-to-device communication setting on the Wi-Fi router may be set to “Disabled” (the separator function is turned on). Change the setting to “Enable” device-to-device communication. For instructions on how to change the setting to “Enable,” refer to the instruction manual for your Wi-Fi router.
- Please restart your Wi-Fi router.

Registration
I am operating the gateway panel, but there is no “New registration (pairing)” button.
You cannot register from the gateway panel. Please register from the Base app on your smartphone.link
Backup and Restore
The gateway broke down during operation. I want to transfer the settings data to the replacement gateway.
If you have backed up your data to the cloud or to a file before the failure, you can continue using it.link
I want to transfer the Base backup file to my PC and store it.

When I press the button on the top right of the handheld remote control or the ON button on the bottom right of the gateway unit, the brightness and color change to something I don’t remember setting.
These buttons also function to start the weekly schedule. If you do not need a weekly schedule, change the schedule for each day of the week to “No setting.”Weekly Schedule
What is the dimming rate when the light is turned off and back on?
The light will turn on at the dimming rate (and color temperature) that was in effect immediately before the power was turned off. However, if the power is turned off at a dimming rate of less than 5%, the light will turn on at 5%.
What is the priority of each operation?
Sensor operation has the highest priority. Schedule/scene/light/group operations operate on a last-come-first-served basis.
Room Group

Please try one of the following methods:
- Re-save the group.
- Press and hold the ON button on the bottom right of the gateway for 8 seconds to restart it.
- Move the light to another group and then move it back to the original group.

Switching to an unintended scene
- The button on the top right of the handheld remote control and the ON button on the bottom right of the gateway unit also function to start the weekly schedule.

There is a light (group) that I don’t want in the scene. Is it possible to disable it?
- No. The scene contains all the lights (groups) in the room.
- If there is a group of lights you want to separate from your scene, move them to a different room.link
Can I change the color of the scene icon?
The scene icon color is set automatically and cannot be changed.

I turn the lights on and off using a wall switch. If I’m using a schedule, will the lights switch to the scene that matches the schedule when I turn them on using the wall switch?
- The lighting will switch, but there will be a time lag. Specifically, when you turn on the lights with the wall switch, the lights will turn on once in their previous state (the brightness and color temperature when they were turned off with the wall switch), and then after a few seconds, they will switch to the scene according to the schedule.
- If you want to avoid the time lag mentioned above, we recommend using a smart switch or smart sensor switch instead of a wall switch.
Can I automatically switch between scheduled operation and sensor operation depending on the time of day?

Will the schedule stop if I use a smart speaker to control it while it is running?
Some operations will stop, others will not.
■Operations that stop the schedule : Room ON/OFF, room group color adjustment
■Operations that do not stop the schedule : Group ON/OFF, room/group dimming
What happens to the schedule if an interrupt operation is performed during scheduled operation?
It depends on the type of operation.
■Operations that “stop” the schedule : ALL OFF/ON, room OFF/ON, scene playback, lighting/group color adjustment
■Operations that “continue” the schedule : Turning lights and groups on and off, and dimming
*If you want to resume a schedule, play the schedule from an app or assign the schedule to a button on a peripheral device and resume the schedule using that button.

The gateway panel screen is in English and won’t switch back to Japanese.
- Please select Japanese from “System Settings > Gateway Settings > Gateway Language Settings”.
- If the language does not return to Japanese after doing the above, press and hold the OFF button on the bottom left of the gateway unit for 10 seconds. This will switch the language to Japanese.
Can I use more than one gateway in one system?
Only one gateway can be used per system.
Can you reboot the gateway?
Yes, you can. Press and hold the ON button on the gateway for 8 seconds.link
How many days will the gateway’s time information be retained after the power is turned off?
It will be kept for about 7 days.
Remote control
Can I check the scene being called using the handy remote control?
Cannot be confirmed.
Sensor
In motion mode, the light does not turn on even when the sensor is approached
Please check the following.
- Is the sensor enabled? Check that the sensor button on the sensor itself is lit. If it is not lit, press the sensor button or enable the sensor in question in the sensor settings.
- Slide the green bar for “Brightness Threshold” in the sensor settings all the way to the right.
If I call a scene as an interrupt while the sensor is running, will the sensor stop running?
The sensor operation will not stop, a scene will be called temporarily, and then the sensor will immediately return to its configured operation.
Is it possible to use the sensor’s motion detection mode to dim the light instead of turning it off when no one is present?
No. The lights will always be turned off when you are not there.
Can I set both motion detection mode and brightness mode in the same room?
No. Please select either “Motion Sensor Mode” or “Brightness Mode”.
smart speaker
When I call the name of a room or group on my smart speaker (Amazon Alexa), I get the message “Device XX does not support that operation” and I can’t operate it.
Please try one of the following methods
- Restarting your smart speaker
- (For Amazon Alexa) Disable and re-enable the skill
- Delete the unresponsive device (room/group) and the smart speaker app, then reload it.
- Change the name of the unresponsive device (room/group) to another name in the Base app, then delete the device (room/group) in the smart speaker app and reload it.
I want to connect to Base using the Alexa app/Google Home app, but the Cloud ID/Cloud password entry screen doesn’t appear (a white page appears).
- Please make sure you have internet access.
- Please wait for a few minutes to an hour and then try again.
How many smart speakers can be connected to a Base1 system (one gateway)?
There is no limit to the number of units.
Cloud
I’m logged in to the cloud, but I can’t back up/restore or connect to a smart speaker.

Repeater
When does the effect of the Repeater become effective?
The effect will be activated once you register the Repeater to any room. Note that the effect will be active in all rooms, not just the room to which it is registered.
Initialization
I accidentally deleted (initialized) the lights and peripherals from the Base app while they were turned off.
If you are using the same gateway, you can register it again.
Can I initialize Base peripherals (handy remote control, smart switch, smart sensor switch) without using the Base app?

Press and hold the initialization button at the back of the hole on the bottom of the main unit to the left of the mounting hole for 6 seconds using a pointed object (such as a paper clip).
■For the handheld remote control:
Press and hold the button above “RESET” inside the battery box for 6 seconds using a pointed object (such as a paper clip).
Installation/setting/operation
Are there any points to be aware of when changing the settings?
When changing settings, please turn on the power to all lighting and peripheral devices included in the system. Depending on the settings, communication with the corresponding lighting and peripheral devices may not be possible, and the settings may not be changed correctly.
Can I lock the gateway settings screen?

I have another Smart LEDZ system (Fit/Plus) installed. Can I share it as the same system?
Cannot be shared. Please install and set up as a separate system.

Line of sight means that each device can see the other device with which it is communicating. If there are obstacles such as walls, pillars, or insulation, the communication distance may be shortened or communication may not be possible. Please carefully check the installation environment before installation.
There are other 2.4GHz devices in the installation location. Will communication be possible?
If there is another device using the same frequency band (2.4GHz), radio wave interference may cause communication problems. The 2.4GHz mesh communication method used by this system minimizes communication problems by searching for open channels. Depending on the installation environment, we recommend using wired control devices.
I may need to turn off some of the lights during operation. Is this a problem?
There is a possibility that mesh network communications may not reach devices located farther away than the powered-off lights. If you know in advance the area in which you will be powering off the lights, we recommend installing a peripheral device that supplies power 24 hours a day or a repeater to relay communications within that area.
Version Password
Checking the Gateway Version
■For the gateway panel:
You can check this in “Gateway app version” under “System Settings > System Information”.
■For gateway switches:
You can check the firmware version under “System Settings > Gateway Settings > Gateway Information.” (Gateway switches do not have an app version.)
I want to check the version of the smartphone app.
■If you are logged in to the system:
You can check the version of the smartphone app in “System Settings > System Information”.
■If you are logged out of the system:
It is written in the bottom right corner of the app title screen (Base logo screen).
I changed the system password or admin password but forgot it.
You can check this by going to “System Settings > System Information.” However, if you are asked for the Admin Password when opening the System Settings screen and you have forgotten your Admin Password, there is no way to check it. If you cannot remember it, you will need to reset the system and set it up again.link
