This section explains the names and terms used in this system.
Terms that are also used in general terms are explained in accordance with this system.
system
A mesh network managed by a single gateway and connected to the cloud.
Mesh network
- A communications network in which wireless signals between wireless modules form a mesh-like network.
- Even if a wireless module on a mesh network fails, a communication path will be secured via another wireless module, reducing the impact on the communication network.
Wireless Module
A module that transmits and receives wireless signals for control purposes and is built into various devices.
gateway
- Gateway panel or gateway switch.
- It controls the entire system and manages the mesh network.
Lighting and peripherals (devices)
- This refers to the following devices: wireless lighting fixtures, handheld remote controls, smart switches, smart sensor switches, handheld remote controls, phase dimmer units, PWM signal units, wireless pressure a-contact units, and repeaters.
- The above devices must be registered in the room before use.
- When we say “device,” we mean all equipment, including gateways.
Smartphone (operating device)
A general term for smartphones on which the Base app has been installed.
Base app
A dedicated app for Smart LEDZ Base.
Room
- A virtual container for registering lighting and peripheral devices.
- By creating multiple rooms, you can operate/set lighting and peripheral devices separately for each room.
group
- A collection of multiple lights.
- Creating a group allows you to control multiple lights together.
scene
A function that allows you to preset combinations of brightness (dimming rate) and color temperature for each lighting/group in a room and call them up all at once.
schedule
A function that automatically calls up a specified scene at a specified time.
Cloud (dedicated cloud)
- A dedicated Base server on the Internet.
- By creating a cloud account, you can back up your settings data to the cloud and connect to a smart speaker.
- You can use one cloud account per system.
